Alan “The
Eye”
Grado is a Camiguin local who has been a professional dive
guide since 1998. He has a unique sense for catching little
things overlooked by other, non-local guides earning him his
well-deserved nickname. Enjoy his low-key personality and PADI
Divemaster professionalism. Without question the best guide on
the island.
Brothers, Romeo and Thady have been assisting divers as guides
and boatman since 1997. Their current Divemaster training,
positive attitude and "Grado-Family Eye" make them
excellent Camiguin dive guides.

Your
CAPTAIN & CREW: |

<
Francisco “Iko”
Lagrada grew up on the island under the tutelage of his father
Mario – a well known and respected Banca (local boat) builder
and fisherman. Brother, Don Don and Honner Lianasa are fine
local crew members. To say they know these waters is an
understatement and their current dive experience and enthusiasm
for the sport only further supports their expertise and
knowledge of the sea.

Your INSTRUCTOR:

John "T" grew up near the beaches in Southern
California. After a successful career in real estate, he wound
up in the Philippines (ask him how) and did the diving he had
always dreamed of. Open Water quickly led to Advanced, Medic,
Rescue and Dive master. Within ten months of intense diving
experience, he obtained his Open Water Scuba Instructor license
in 2001. John’s approach to teaching is to adapt the best
techniques to each individual student. Avoiding the
mass-teaching approach used by many institutions, he prefers a
one-on-one or one-on-two instructor-student ratio, providing the
guest with a quality learning experience.

Richard “Abs”
Abreu is a local entrepreneur with
a keen sense for the customer. His infectious smile and
Classic-Camiguin disposition lend himself to the tourist trade.
A self-taught personal trainer, Richard is always available to
help out on a dive, carry equipment, or crew the boat. His
hands-on approach benefits the guests and dive team at every
turn.

Your boats:

In November of 2004 we launched " Richee Lou 2" - a 40'
banca with 115 hp Yamaha outboard motor. Excellent for five to
fifteen divers as well as safari trips to Mantangale and Duka bay. |
Johnny’s
new pump boats (local outrigger) with Honda motors is one
of the best on the island with comfortable seating and a
hard-to-find quality convertible top for sun protection. A newer
speedboat with 115 HP Yamaha engine gets guests to
outlying dive sites usually considered too far away.
Safety and comfort are our priority with cell phones and
first-aid kits on every trip.
